Straighter teeth results in better health because it is much easier to clean and maintain oral health with straight teeth. Straighter teeth also increases confidence and help to create a beautiful smile. For orthodontia, also known as braces, we offer Invisalign. Invisalign, which is an exciting orthodontic technology, is less invasive and almost invisible. Invisalign devices are comfortable, and you can still eat your favorite foods, and they are surprisingly affordable. They are easy to clean, require fewer visits, are less irritating on tissue and can offer better oral health in some cases.
Teeth whitening is a breeze with several options available. We offer in-office laser whitening, which is a fast procedure that requires about an hour. Patented light-activated-gel is used and the patient leaves with additional gel to continue the process as well as maintain the level they want. Another option includes tray whitening, and it may be more cost feasible and allow the patient to do whitening in their own home. With both types of procedures an initial impression is made of the patients’ teeth and custom trays are ready to be picked up within a few days. The rest is up to you!
Fillings, extractions including wisdom teeth are services that can be completed in our office. At South Anchorage Dental Center, we have the ability to provide a wide variety of fillings. Filling materials are amalgam (silver), composite (resin), gold and even porcelain fillings. Each has its uses in certain cases, and we will help you make the most informed decisions for your dental health needs. Extractions and wisdom teeth treatments can be completed with no pain or discomfort to the patient.
Veneers are an option for cosmetic dentistry where a very thin layer of composite or porcelain is bonded to the teeth. Bonding is commonly associated with the direct method of applying composite directly to the tooth, while the indirect method requires the use of a temporary veneer, after which a laboratory created veneer is bonded to the tooth. Patient situations that may require veneers are patients that have significant tooth damage, cases that need improvements in aesthetics and patients with large fillings.
South Anchorage Dental Center is also well equipped for major dental procedures and offer treatments including non-IV sedation for the treatment of root canals, crowns and bridges, dental implants and temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ). For treating TMJ, a careful consultation will result in using the following methods to improve the condition: bite adjustment, moving teeth, tooth replacement and other techniques. Every TMJ condition is unique, and will require the utmost dental care. For our patients that are missing teeth, restoration is possible with dental implants, and these may be better than some options that include bridges. Sedation dentistry involves anesthesia that will enable the patient to experience no pain or discomfort whatsoever.
